This Little Light of Mine

In our Sunday night family Bible Study, we talked about the message we'd heard at the church we'd visited yesterday. It was taken from Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." We went around the living room sharing our thoughts about how we could let our light shine for Jesus this week. The suggestions were many - Pay for the person behind us in the drive-thru at Starbucks; help a friend with their homework; give a needy client a discount; donate money to a charity - all great ideas. Then our friend, Dee softly added, "We need to do good deeds at home first." There was silence.
